Dundrum Adult Training and Education (D.A.T.E.)

Dundrum Adult Training and Education is a local voluntary committee who work in partnership with the South Dublin Adult Education Service to provide a wide range of adult education classes in the locality. These classes are generally provided in a civic space in the Dundrum Town Centre.

Courses / Programmes

More than sixty classes are provided each term, ranging from Art, Classical Studies, Computers, Calligraphy, Writers Groups, Crafts, History of Art, Gardening, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Irish, Music Appreciation, Philosophy, Politics, Psychology, English Literature, Tai Chi and Yoga.

Information and communication re courses can be obtained from the D.A.T.E. Brochure which is a) delivered to houses in the immediate area and b) available in libraries, local business premises and in the D.A.T.E. centre.

All courses are fee paying but there are special rates for senior citizens on production of a travel pass.

Location

Most courses take place in the main D.A.T.E. centre on the 5th Floor of Dundrum Town Centre while some are held in Dom Marmiom Hall.

Enrolment details

Enrolment takes place twice a year in early September and January. Classes commence a fortnight after this.
